March 4th, 2021 is
Read Across America Day!
We celebrate Read Across America and Dr. Seuss’ birthday at Sims! Students can dress as a character from their favorite book and guest readers from our community (some in costume/uniform) read to our students.
Did you know that every year, our PTO either directly donates or helps to raise almost $10,000 in funds to support our school library with books and/or hours for our librarian to keep the library open at Sims? Even with Distance Learning, we are working hard so our kids can have books in their hands! We know how important reading is for our children, and we want to make sure we provide every opportunity for our students to love and find the joy in reading now more than ever!
